Features

  • Comprehensive sensor/transducer and control training system.
  • Incorporates industrial grade components.
  • Uses industry standard 0~10V, 4~20mA devices.
  • Features RS-232 for connection to personal computer.
  • Built-in 8031 microcontroller and monitor EPROM.
  • 17 experiment modules form basis for a wide range of fully documented experiments.
  • Main units and experiment modules also available separately for economical construction of class sets.

The KL-600 Microcomputer Sensing and Control System is a comprehensive control training system that incorporates industrial-grade components with various control circuits. Its modular and closed-loop control circuits allow implementation of open-ended, individual control loops as used in industrial applications.

The KL-600 uses only industry-standard sensors and transducers (0 ~ 10V, 4 ~ 20mA), and is equipped with an RS-232 interface for computer control experiments. Control programs can be written on a personal computer and down-loaded to the on-board 8031 microcontroller.

KL-600 Main Unit

The main unit incorporates all necessary equipment for use with the eleven experiment kits. A socketed industry-standard 8031 microcontroller is fitted to the system, along with a monitor EPROM, and may be programmed from an IBM compatible personal computer by way of an RS-232 link.

The main unit also contains a 12-bit analogue to digital converter and 12-bit digital to analogue converter, as well as amplifiers and a multi-rail power supply.

KL-600 Experiment Kits

The KL-600 system contains the seventeen experiment modules and all load units necessary to conduct a wide range of experiments. These combine to make the following eleven distinct experiment kits:
