This modular system provides electronics and autotronics training using educational modules for study and experimentation.All theoretical, experimental, and practical learning procedures are assisted and supervised by dedicated software designed to run on IBM compatible personal computers.


KL-800 System Main Unit

The KL-81001 Main Unit houses the system's power supply, CPU, display, computer interface, as well as selector switches and input/output signals.

The CPU used is the 89C51 microcontroller, a member of the industry standard 803X/805X family. A built-in RS-232 port enables the system to be connected to the host PC.

A backlit 64x128 dot LCD graphic display is incorporated in the main unit and programmed to simultaneously display NE, PHO, HALL, MAF, MAT, MAP, TPS, CTS, VSS, and IPW. An analogue meter is also built into the unit and illustrates the oxygen reading.

Selectors allow for NE, PHO, and HALL selection, and synchronised, non-synchronised and sequence fuel injection modes.

Input signals provided on the main unit are: NE, PHO, HALL, VAF, MAT, F/C, MAF, MAP, TPS, CTS, O2, P/N, A/C, PSPS, VSS, and 3GR.
Output signals are: INJ1, INJ2, INJ3, INJ4, SPK1, SPK2, SPK3, SPK4, FANC, F/C, IAC1, IAC2, IAC3, IAC4, TCC, CCP, EGRV, and CHECK ENGINE lamp.


KL-800 Experiment Modules

Ten modules form the basis for over 40 detailed experiments. Each module contains the experiment circuit which is clearly illustrated by a diagram on its front panel. 4mm plugs and sockets are used throughout making for easy experiment connection by way of 4mm test leads.

  4. TPS, CTS, and O2 Sensor (Module KL-83004)
    1. TPS experiment

    3. O2 sensor experiment
      Normal: 0.1 ~ 1.0V swing

    3. Exhaust gas recirculation valve
      Control signal: EGRV
      12V DC solenoid
      Operational conditions: c-1 rpm is over 1200, c-2 CTS os over 65°C, c-3 TPS at 1.0~2.5, and MAP at 1.0~1.5 - EGRV is ON when these four conditions simultaneously exist
